Pawe\u0142 is a cinematographer with a diverse and compelling visual style, bringing over a decade of experience to feature films, documentaries, commercials, and TV series. Since 2011, he has also been a lecturer at the Department of Television and Film Image Production at the University of Silesia in Katowice, where he earned his doctoral degree in 2016. He is a graduate of the Institute of Philosophy at Jagiellonian University and a member of the Polish Filmmakers Association.<\/p>\n
His filmography includes documentaries and features such as The Kiosk (2023, dir. Daniel Stopa), Piece of Summer(2010), Zud (2016), and Decrescendo (2011, dir. Marta Minorowicz), My Home (2012, dir. Magdalena Szymków), When I Will Be a Bird (2013, dir. Monika Pawluczuk), Polonez (2016), First Pole on Mars (2016), and Relax (2018) by Agnieszka Elbanowska, Opera about Poland (2017, dir. Piotr Stasik), and New Born (2018, dir. Lidia Duda).<\/p>\n
His documentary Synek won the Jantar 2020 award for Best Short Documentary at the 39th KFDF M\u0142odzi i Film festival, praised for its tender and minimalistic storytelling about complex family relationships. At the same festival, Maria nie \u017cyje (dir. Martyna Majewska), with cinematography by Pawe\u0142, received the Journalist Award for Short Film.<\/p>\n
Recent works include Andrew Warhol, My Factory (dir. Bogdan Dziworski), Magnesia (dir. Maciek Bochniak), and Illusion (dir. Marta Minorowicz).<\/p>\n
Pawe\u0142 was also the cinematographer for the acclaimed five seasons of the TV series The Office PL (dir. Maciek Bochniak). The latest 5th season just premiered on Canal Plus Polska.<\/p>\n
His documentary Dust (Py\u0142), which tells the story of rally motorcyclist Konrad D\u0105browski and his legendary father Marek, was nominated for the National Competition at the Krakow Film Festival 2024 and is part of the Documentary Shorts Competition at the 2024 Camerimage Festival.<\/p>\n
