Film director, screenwriter and President of The Young Filmmakers' Club at The Polish Filmmaker's Association. For her diploma film "Olena," produced by the Gdynia Film School, she received numerous awards, including a nomination for the Palme d’Or in the short film competition at the 66th Cannes IFF. Director of “Zhanna”, the first part of a feature triptych titled “New World” produced by Akson Studio. Currently working on her solo feature-length debut „Orunia 4ever”, for which she has received the the Script Pro Special Award. Recently short feature film "The Power of Resistance" directed by El\u017cbieta received a special mention from the jury The National Competition of Krakow Film Festival 2024. The film is also nominated in Short Film Competition of 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. Laudation: "For an engaging story about freedom in times when the courage to say “NO” came at a great price." "The Power of Resistance" is also nominated in Short Feature Films Competition at Mlodzi i Film Festival in Koszalin. Recently El\u017cbieta was nominated to Jan Machulski Award for direction of "The Power of Resistance".<\/p>\n
This year El\u017cbieta along with Katarzyna Warzecha received special award from the Polish Screenwriters' Guild for services to the film community for their victorious fight for royalties from the Internet.<\/p>\n
In the meantime, El\u017cbieta finished PhD thesis on the folklore of Polish and Serbian football fans.<\/p>\n
